About M.Sc Obstetrics & Gynaecological Nursing

Swaminarayan University has a doctoral program in maternity and gynecological nursing that focuses on developing talented nurses in the health of mother and women. It prepares students to provide advanced care in the postpartum, intra -sequential, postpartum and gynecological environment, which emphasizes evidence - -secured and kindness.

The program integrates theoretical learning with clinical practice in the study, maternity ward, health station and family planning clinics. Students are experts on high -risk pregnancy management, newborn care, infertility services and health health for women's fertility.

Graduates are equipped for roles such as dictator, birth nurses, birth clinic experts and reproductive health coordinator. The program also enables doctoral studies and progress for positions in India and internationally in handling the health care system.

The University of Swaminarayan provides an extra academic environment with experienced faculties, advanced simulation laboratories and multis -company hospitals associated with companies. The course corresponds to the criteria for the Nursing Council for India (INC) and promotes safe, moral and culturally sensitive care for women and newborns.

Program Duration

The M.Sc. in Obstetrics & Gynaecological Nursing is a 2-year full-time postgraduate program divided into 4 semesters, as per the guidelines of the Indian Nursing Council (INC). It includes classroom learning, clinical rotations in maternity and gynecology units, research projects, and a dissertation focused on maternal and women’s health issues.

Curriculum

Eligibility

1. Candidate must have completed B.Sc. Nursing or Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing from an INC-approved institution.

2. Minimum of 55% aggregate marks required (50% for SC/ST/OBC as per government norms).

3. Must be a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife (RNRM) with any State Nursing Council.

4. At least one year of clinical or teaching experience after B.Sc. Nursing/Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing is mandatory.

a) Medical fitness is essential for participating in clinical and maternity care activities.

b) Valid nursing registration and work experience certificates must be submitted at admission.

c) Admission is based on university entrance exam and/or merit as per institutional policy.
