About M.Sc Child Health Nursing
M. S. Swaminarayan University has a special postgraduate program in child health nursing designed to prepare nursing staff for specialist level care in pediatric and newborns. The program focuses on promoting child health through advanced clinical practice, research and family -focused care.
Students receive extensive training in pediatric evaluation, development and development, pediatric emergency conditions, newborn care and child psychology. Practical learning is integrated through clinical winding in the pediatric department, Nicu and Community Child Health programs in collaboration with large hospitals.
Graduates are equipped for roles such as doctors, nursing teachers, clinical experts and child health coordinators. The program also provides a basis for doctoral studies and opportunities in research, the health care management and global pediatric care initiatives.
Swaminarayan University supports educational and professional skill through exposure to qualified faculties, child -focused simulation laboratories and advanced pediatric technologies. The program has been in line with the Nursing Council for India (INC) standards, ensuring that students are trained to provide high quality, moral and compassionate care for infants and children.
Program Duration
M.Sc. in Child Health Nursing is a 2-year full-time postgraduate program spread across 4 semesters, following the guidelines of the Indian Nursing Council (INC) and university regulations. The course includes theory classes, pediatric clinical practice, a research project, and dissertation work focused on child health topics.

1. Candidate must hold a B.Sc. Nursing or Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing degree from a recognized INC-approved institution.
2. Must have obtained at least 55% aggregate marks (50% for SC/ST/OBC candidates as per government rules).
3. Must be a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife (RNRM) with any State Nursing Council.
A minimum of one year of clinical or teaching experience after B.Sc. Nursing/Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing is mandatory.
a) Candidates must be medically fit to undertake intensive pediatric and neonatal care training.
b) Valid nursing registration and experience certificates must be submitted during admission.
c) Admission is based on merit and/or university-level entrance examination as applicable.
