About Master of Arts Gujarati Teaching Scheme
Ma is designed to provide intensive literary, linguistic and cultural insight into Gujarati language and literature in Gujarati (with a teaching scheme) at the University of Swaminarayan. The program also integrates teaching function, making it a desire for students to become teachers, researchers and contributors to regional literature and communication.
Students receive practical training through teaching demonstrations, text planning and class simulation that develop important teaching skills. The program ensures that new graduates are not only professionally effective, but are educationally equipped to effectively learn gujarati at different levels of education.
Graduates of this program are designed for careers in Gujarati language teaching, publishing, media, creative writing, translation and educational research. The course supports higher studies, net/delicious exam and preparations for public services.

Program Duration
The MA in Gujarati (with Teaching Scheme) is a two-year full-time postgraduate program, divided into four semesters. The structure includes core and elective courses in Gujarati literature and linguistics, practical teaching modules, and optional dissertation or internship projects in the final semester. Program structure is as follows: conceptual and literary grounding in the first year, teaching-oriented specialization in the second.

1. Bachelor’s degree in Gujarati or a related discipline from a recognized university.
2. Minimum 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination (45% for SC/ST/OBC categories).
3. Graduates from other disciplines with language proficiency may be considered.
4. Final-year undergraduate students may apply provisionally
a) Must be medically fit as per university norms.
b) Preference given to candidates interested in teaching, translation, or creative writing.
c) Admission based on merit, entrance exam, or interview as per university guidelines.
