About Doctoral (Ph.D) Studies In Arts and Humanities
Faculty of Arts and Humanities is dedicated to understanding human thought, culture, values, history, and social expression. The doctoral studies program focuses on critical inquiry, cultural interpretation, and research that explores how societies think, communicate, create, and evolve. The Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) program at Swaminarayan University, Kalol, is designed to foster independent, high-quality research in various disciplines aligned with national priorities and global standards. The program aims to produce scholars who combine intellectual rigor with ethical and spiritual values, contributing meaningfully to academia, industry, and society.
Must have a Master’s Degree in the relevant field of Arts or Humanities (e.g., M.A., M.F.A., MSW, etc.).
Minimum 55% marks in post-graduation (relaxation as per government norms).
Must clear:
University Ph.D. Entrance Test,
OR
National level exams like NET / SLET / JRF (if applicable).
Must attend Interview / Research Proposal Discussion.
Admission depends on availability of research supervisors in the selected area.
